Shady Grove Baptist Church will be be sending our Emergency Response Team to the Houston area to assist flood victims, when authorities allow us into the areas.

“When we get to these areas, we will need sump pumps, shop vacs, box fans, pump up sprayers, lots of bleach, hand sanitizer, snow shovels, small pry bars, razor knives (sheet rock) etc. Used tools can be given new purpose, if they are donated, as well.

Most of these will be given out to neighborhoods to be used for what we call “mud out,” where carpet is ripped up and sheet rock removed to spray bleach for mold removal.

Our CERTeam has responded to Louisiana flooding, the Vilonia tornado, as well as other disasters in the past.

“The numbers of effected people is simply going to overwhelm the area for these types of tools.”

An 18 wheeler will be parked at Lucky's and Shady Grove, through noon on Friday, September 8th.

Donations are also welcome, please go to our ministries link and click on "GIVE - Disaster Relief" to contribute online.
