Shady Grove Baptist Church is a fellowship of followers of Jesus Christ who seek to love God and others as Christ did.
We welcome everyone to worship, fellowship, and service through the ministry of Shady Grove. The expression of our Christian faith is seen in our love, lives, laughter, and Lord.
At Shady Grove, we have discovered that truth is beautiful.
We consider ourselves as part of an ancient faith, dating back thousands of years. It’s a faith in God who has revealed Himself to man through His Son Jesus Christ. The people of Shady Grove are continuing to discover what faith means, week in and week out, as we worship, laugh, pray, and serve together!
Life is about relationships, and the most important is our love relationship with God through Jesus. It is what makes all others enjoyable and possible. We invite you to join us as we follow Christ together.

Where we are headed...
In Biblical times, a Disciple referred to anyone studying under, and trying to emulate, a Master teacher. In modern times we would call it Apprenticeship. To modern day Christians, Disciple means a follower of Christ who lives by following His example. In John 13:34-35, Jesus says "Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
Discipleship is a process which begins after Salvation. Consider this question. Can a person be a Believer and not a Disciple? Yes. Eternal Life is a free gift (John 3:16). Discipleship is costly (Mark 8:34). Eternal Life not by works (Eph 2:8-9). Discipleship requires works. (Mark 8:34) Eternal Life believe in Jesus (John 6:47). Discipleship follow Jesus as Lord (Mark 8:34).
Mark 8:34 “When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” This at the heart of our ministries at Shady Grove. Jesus is inviting us to the Next Level, which is Discipleship.
Top Level is Eternal Life of course, but the Next Level is being a Disciple by accepting our Lord’s invitation to “deny ourselves, take up our Cross, and follow Him”.
As Christ invites us to follow Him to abundant life, we invite you to join us as we journey towards the Next Level!
